Whilst we are gathering onlin on Sundays we will be at our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/StPaulsWoking/ Here are the words for us to join in with on Sunday 5th April 2020

We pray the prayer of preparation together:

Almighty God, unto whom all hearts be open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee, and worthily magnify thy holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Confession: this is a kyrie confession so just repeat the last line of each part after me:

Christ came in humility to share our lives:

forgive our pride.

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.

Christ came with good news for all people:

forgive our silence.

Christ, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy.

Christ came in love to a world of suffering:

forgive our self-centredness.

Lord, have mercy.

May the God of love bring us back to himself, forgive us our sins, and assure us of his eternal love in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Collect Palm Sunday

True and humble king, hailed by the crowd as Messiah: grant us the faith to know you and love you, that we may be found beside you on the way of the cross, which is the path of glory. Amen

Intercessions: Using Taize ‘O Lord hear my prayer’

O Lord, hear my prayer,

O Lord, hear my prayer;

when I call answer me.

O Lord, hear my prayer,

O Lord, hear my prayer;

come and listen to me.

Taize chant: ‘In the lord I’ll be ever thankful’

In the Lord I’ll be ever thankful,

In the Lord I’ll rejoice.

Look to God, do not be afraid,

Lift up your voices, the Lord is near;

Lift up your voices the Lord is near.

Lord’s prayer

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins

as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation

but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power,

and the glory are yours

now and for ever.
