“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity”  Psalm 133:1

St. Paul’s seeks to be engaged in the wider community in many different ways.

MASCOT

Working together, St. Paul’s, Woking and St. Michael’s, Sheerwater are setting up a charity called Maybury And Sheerwater Community Trust (MASCOT) to focus on meeting needs in the communities of Maybury and Sheerwater.  This is an exciting venture through which we will be involved in the community listening; serving; helping; training and working with others.

Friendship Café

The FRIENSHIP CAFE at St Paul’s welcomes all those in our community and parish to join us. It is a friendly, chatty and supportive group with activities which people are able to join if they wish. Activities include seated exercises.

It usually takes place on Wednesday except the 2nd Wednesday in the month from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm in the Community Halls at St. Paul’s Church unless otherwise stated.

See the calendar for upcoming events.

Good Neighbour Scheme

We are greatly involved in running a Good Neighbour Scheme for the area.  This scheme is called EWGN Care (East Woking Good Neighbours).  It is a scheme to help people to get to hospital appointments, doctors appointments, shopping etc – anything a ‘good neighbour’ neighbour might do.

If you can offer any help, even just an hour a month – it requires many volunteers – please contact either Rev Richard Hay or the Church office.

Hope Weekend

The Church has in the past, run ‘Hope’ weekends annually, where people from the Church would help in the community in many different ways; clearing gardens, decorating, family fun day, car washes, teas and more. We are looking forward to resuming this activity sometime in the future…
