“Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me” Matthew 8:5
We want children to know that they are welcomed, loved and cared for at St Paul’s, and they are very welcome on Sunday mornings at 10.30am. On the first Sunday of the month, everyone stays together in church for an All-Age service. For the other Sundays in the month, see below:
Under 3s: We have toys available for children under 3 during the service, near the back of the church.
Children (3 yrs – 10 yrs): After starting off in the main service, children have their own group, Blaze, which meets on, 3rd, 4th Sundays in term time. During their group, children learn more of God’s love through a variety of activities, including worship songs, creativity, bible stories read and children’s films and games. it is designed to be inclusive for all children and fun and engaging.
Youth (11 yrs +): St. Paul’s Youth is about encouraging young people to live life to the full and to be the people they are meant to be. To have fun, make friends and love God. We have a group for 11 years + on the 1st, 3rd, 4th Sundays, the first Sunday of each month is All age worship, St Paul’s invites the young people to actively participate in the service in several ways including drama, readings, sound, and PowerPoint, and leading. on the 3rd Sunday is Blaze a family worship in the hall, where children, youth and parents come together to worship, to share the gospel, and build relationships, on the 4th Sunday is an active discussion group which includes films, worship and worldwide debates and Occasional social events are also arranged.
Messy Church: Messy Church has been a monthly event on a Sunday afternoon for all ages – children, parents, grandparents, and anyone who likes to have fun! For the time being this has been put on hold due to human resources. We are currently looking for people to assist with the organisation of this wonderful family time.
